My academic projects align with research focused on webtoons, which are Korean comics published on the internet and have gained popularity worldwide, particularly through the Hallyu. In my undergraduate thesis, I provided an overview of webtoons, their language, market, and introduction to Brazil. In the article I submitted and was accepted by the largest scientific communication event in Latin America, Intercom, I highlighted the significance of webtoons and their contribution to combating misinformation during the Covid-19 pandemic, using the example of the webtoon "Staying Healthy Together" (2020).
